The Norwegian Embassy in Berlin is part of the Nordic embassy complex at the Tiergarten in the center of Berlin. The most prominent feature of the Project is the front facade that is composed of a single piece of gray granite. The granite monolith is 42 feet tall, 15 feet wide and weight 110 tons. The remainder of the external facades is covered louvered glass screens while a semi-enclosed courtyard brings light and air into the building. The new embassy fits seamlessly in to the complex that was designed by Berger and Parkinnen.
